Innovative companies are pioneers in the introduction of new technologies or the implementation of creative business models. They are characterised by their willingness to take risks and cross traditional industry boundaries. They create new jobs, which contributes significantly to economic stability in the respective region.
Companies that invest heavily in research and development achieve greater long-term success than their less innovative competitors. They are characterised by the promotion of creativity and the rapid advancement of ideas. They are therefore engines of economic growth and shape the future of how we live and work.
At a time when we are constantly facing new challenges – economic, political, social and health-related – these companies are leading the way to promising progress.
Economic success through innovation and company size
For innovations to be sustainable, economic success and a certain size of company are essential.
The institute of one of Germany’s largest daily newspapers, the ‘SZ Institut’, together with Creditreform, one of the leading service providers for business information, conducted a study for the third time in a row to identify the most innovative companies in Germany for the year 2024.
A large number of criteria were applied when selecting the companies. In addition to a very positive creditworthiness index, which stands for the economic success, reliability and stability of the company, the balance sheet total, i.e. the economic size, also plays an important role.
A total of 2,346 companies were analysed. Investments in research and development played a particularly important role in the ranking. These can be derived from newly created industrial property rights or self-created values – in the case of rexx systems, innovations and enhancements to the rexx HR software – in relation to balance sheet assets.
As in the previous year 2023, rexx systems is again among the top 100 most innovative companies in 2024.

In the ranking by industry, rexx systems is even among the top 10 software manufacturers in a remarkable 6th place. In the overall ranking, rexx systems achieved 17th place as an innovative company across all sectors!

At rexx systems, the focus is on the continuous further development of products in order to pursue the long-term vision of prioritising added value for customers. At the same time, the Hamburg-based company remains down-to-earth and Hanseatic in the old merchant tradition: its continuous growth is completely self-financed – without any outside capital.
