Consistent growth also brings with it increased requirements on reporting, for which reason this global company – spanning 20 different locations – requires high-performance HR software, in order to ensure standardised, Group-wide HR controlling. For this reason, and in view of the digitisation offensive by BayWa r.e., the decision was ultimately made to implement a global HR system. Given that such a deployment covers in excess of 45 companies with approximately 1,600 employees, the HR software should also originate from a provider experienced in delivering on such a scale. In addition, system integration should also be ensured throughout with other software landscapes currently in use – such as SAP.
With rexx HR, the Hamburg-based software company rexx systems brought the most convincing model to the table. The time management module was also introduced, together with the implementation of the HR administration module. This move did more than just open up a whole host of new opportunities for BayWa r.e. in terms of the efficient visualisation of HR processes. Given its status as a web-based solution, it benefits both employees situated on site with the customer and employees who utilise mobile workstations, who are then able to book their project times from anywhere. The module also facilitates the efficient management of absences, including application and approval workflows. To achieve the goal of standardised and Group-wide HR Controlling, the interface to SAP Financial Consolidation software is currently being configured, to allow rexx systems to feed both the necessary monthly and annual HR KPIs automatically into SAP FC. Irrespective of the interface in use, the use of rexx systems now enables up-to-date queries and evaluations, both for HR Managers and supervisors.
The introduction of new HR software in 2018 is, for BayWa r.e., just a first step. The 2019 agenda will also see the system expand to include additional models, in close coordination with the project supervisors.
